Season Opener…

This may have been a slow start to springtime temperatures, but come a warm, sunny day, I can’t wait to get into the bar and start the season setup.

A fine layer of dust covers everything…a gift left behind by the winter winds.  For some reason, spring cleaning outdoor spaces is much more enjoyable than cleaning inside.  Just feeling the sun is a tonic, and I’m energized and impatient to return to the garden.

Le Bar Glasserie” is my favourite escape at home.  Why? I’m not sure.  Probably the sun, the warmth, the sound of rain on the roof, the view…  Charlie is on hand to supervise.

Although we’ve had a few happy hours in the bar over the past few weeks, this weekend was our first dinner out here.

We’re officially open for the season.  Cheers!

  1. Looks like a lovely escape to relax and enjoy the view of your garden with a great companion, Cheer’s! 🍾🥂

    1. Thank you Karla, Where would we be without our little companions? Charlie loves being in the bar as much as I do…plus when she is in the bar with me, I know she is not digging up something in the garden! xox Judy❤️

  2. So much to look forward, after a long winter indoors. 🤗 Just taking the first few steps in my backyard, taking out some of the patio furniture, and adding a new coffee table. Hi Charlie! 💕Enjoy the sunshine.

    1. Hi Karen, yes, spring fever is in the air! It’s amazing that after just a few days of sunshine the grass is turning green and the tulips are poking their heads above ground. Enjoy your set up and the sunshine too! xox Judy❤️ Charlie says “hi” back.

  3. How lovely to get back out there again Judy and your dinner looks delicious! Charlie looks like she’s relaxed and happy to be back out there too😂. I love the way you’ve decorated “Le Bar Glasserie” and the painting with Charlie is perfect. Enjoy your beautiful escape and your adorable little gardening companion 🐶🥰. Hugs, Karen xo❤️

    1. Thank you Karen, the print you mentioned is by Gray Malin and the photograph was taken in the Tuileries Garden in Paris. Can you imagine getting that many dogs to cooperate? Charlie would be rejected as a dog muse! xox Judy❤️

  4. LOL, thank you for pointing out Charlie in the Tuileries!!! I had to zoom in to see the picture. Adorable! 😍
