Follow Up to Preserving the Past…

Last week’s post, Preserving the Past, was about gathering the photos I’d taken on my phone and creating photo books.  The only book ready to order was for the “pop-up boutique” I operated during the pandemic.

I received my book in the mail today, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out…especially since this is my first effort!

These are just a few pages from the book, and these photos do not do it justice, but I want to encourage you to make your photo books.

I ordered a peachy pink linen box for the book…many of the Christmas ornaments from that collection were in these shades.

The book is 12″ x 12″ in a lay-flat format.  The pages are of excellent quality and quite thick.

It’s hard to see the quality based on the above photos, but in real life, they look really good, if I say so myself!  Now I can’t wait to finish the series on the four seasons in the garden!

  1. Judy – so beautiful! As mentioned on the original post, I am in the process of doing photo albums. I ordered all my prints on line from Shopper’s Drug Mart, and as mentioned wasn’t sure if I could take on the challenge of “creating” Paris books. But your book is so beautiful, I am really motivated to try one. Can I ask what company you used to do yours? I recognize so many of those beautiful decorations and decor items that I cherish. I hope you are enjoying the sunshine!

    1. Hi Karen, The company is Photobook Canada. The process was a bit of a challenge and if I hadn’t had help setting it up, I’m not sure if I could have figured it out on my own, however, with a little tech help (not necessarily a professional) it’s not too difficult when you get the hang of it. I really encourage you to check it out and give it a try. Good luck, xox Judy❤️

    1. Hi again, you will be able to use your creative talents to capture those special moments of your trip. xox Judy❤️

  2. What a beautiful keepsake Judy! The photos are gorgeous and the book, as well as the box, is stunning. Looking at these photos reminds me of how much I loved shopping your online boutique and then looked forward to picking up my purchased “treasures” that you had wrapped so beautifully….I miss those days! Thank you also to Karen Starko for asking the company’s name. I’d love to try making a book like this…now for the daunting task of choosing which of the four billion photos on my phone to use😳😂. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful book and the wonderful idea Judy! Hugs, Karen xo❤️

    1. Thank you Karen, Had I known I would be making a photo book of the “pop-up” I would have taken many more “staged” photos! Good luck with narrowing down what photos you want to feature in a book and then have fun putting it together. xox Judy❤️

    1. Thank you Guy, All is well here and hope you are happy and doing well too…good to hear from you, xox Judy❤️
