After receiving some comments on the post, I realized I must have pressed the “Publish” button instead of the “Preview”. This is the second time I’ve done this in recent months…I’m either losing it, or I need to get out more!!!
I planned to publish this as a Valentine post…instead, it will be going out on Ground Hog Day!
Charlie, our little Labradoodle, will be nine months old in a few days. She came into our lives not long after losing our sweet, sweet Chloe. At the time, I wasn’t a hundred per cent sure I was ready to love another dog as much, but no fear of that. Charlie has found a spot in my heart that I didn’t even know was there.
I had either forgotten what having a puppy would be like, or more likely, I was much younger when we had our other puppies!!! Charlie has a very lively, mischievous personality, meaning that we have to be alert at all times because she is bound to be up to no good if left to her own devices!
Charlie is the only dog we’ve had who has played, played, and played with her toys. She dragged around her flat fox for months, loved the baby blanket that she came home with, and although she has chewed the ears and tail off her little doggy, which has been patched up numerous times, it is her favourite.

This quote will ring so true, especially for those of you who have a dog. They add so much life, love and energy to our homes you can’t imagine living without them. I suspect that is why once you have a dog, you always have a dog!
