Charlie has been pretty good about not destroying the “Town Square” village I set up on the coffee table a few weeks ago. However, I’ve decided not to tempt fate by setting up the Christmas tree. This has saved many trips up and down the stairs hauling heavy boxes of treasured ornaments, however, there is still an opportunity to create some holiday magic.
Although we’re not doing much entertaining this month, I want our guests to know they’re special for those few occasions.
We’re having a small dinner party this weekend. I’ve decided to decorate with fresh greenery and flowers in cream and accent with gold for a warm cozy feel. The Amaryllis have come to life and Paperwhites are sprouting up everywhere.
As you can see, the menu is every day, not what you might expect for holiday entertaining. With my limited culinary skills and a picky family to feed, it’s almost impossible to accommodate everyone without having it catered!
Many of you are also busy getting your homes dressed up for the holidays. Hopefully, you enjoying it and not getting too stressed out. A good soundtrack goes a long way to get you in the mood.
