This quote from Richard Branson is almost amusing. As we know, Sir Branson has been very successful in business, but I agree that the best pay off for an entrepreneur is to have it both ways.
Finding that delicate balance is the tricky part. When I had my boutique, I confess that it was always more important to me to provide the products that I hoped would enhance my customers’ lives and bring beauty to their homes. Making money would have been a lucky happenstance!
It has been almost 5 years (April 30, 2015) since C C on Whyte closed its doors. I thought that my retailing years were behind me, but it turns out that may not be so. If the stars line up perfectly over the next couple of months, I may have a “pop up” C C on Whyte (a 2.0 version) for November and December 2020. To ensure that the products are available when I want them, I am off to market this weekend to scout out what is being offered for the coming year. My hope is to create a product mix that captures the essence of C C on Whyte with a snippet of what was and a sprinkling of what is new and unique.
Although I don’t have many photos of the displays we did at C C, I did find these on our Facebook page…a reminder of what was…
I’ll keep you posted over the coming months if C C on Whyte 2.0, the “pop-up”, is a go…

Judy, I was thrilled to read this on your blog! So happy for you and the best of wishes for a very succcesful venture. I have no doubt that you will make it as fabulous as C C on Whyte (version 1.0) With all the shops that closed in 2019 this is wonderful news. You will have to hire one of those big burly guys to stand outside with the rope only allowing so many people in as others leave LOL! Anxiously waiting to see what they will carry out in their bundle of goodies, all wrapped up nicely ( as always) Will patiently await your opening, happy hunting.

How are you? Jenn and I are loving your blog. We miss you and the store so much and are excited to hear about Nov/Dec 2020. I am now in Calgary but Jenn and I would likely have to make a trip to Edmonton to see you!
Jenn and I are going to Paris with our husbands in April. We are 6 days in Paris then a 12 day cruise in Europe and then 5 days in London. None of us have been overseas and I was wondering if you have any suggestions/advice you might have for us? I know you’ve been there lots….we are lucky to be going to Berlin, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Bruges & Oslo. Anything at all that you could recommend we would be thrilled. We already booked our hotel rooms but that’s it so far.
